This workshop is a unique artistic experience delving into the history of humans’ connection with the land. Participants will go beyond conventional painting techniques to craft their own paints by mixing earth pigments and binders. We will explore the subtle alchemy of blending natural elements to create a rich and resourceful palette. This process requires some precision including basic elements of chemistry, making it a captivating endeavor for those curious about the scientific aspect of artistry. With a wealth of knowledge and a passion for the natural world, our talented artist in residence, Kyle Epps, will lead you in uncovering the secrets of earth pigments and the artistry that emerges from our connection to the land. Prepare to be inspired, to create and to connect with the Earth in a whole new way. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or starting your creative journey, this workshop promises to be a memorable experience merging art, science and nature. Come discover the beauty that arises from the Earth itself and let your artistic spirit flourish.
