Air Layering: Creating a Flowering Tree in 4 Months

Learn how to propagate a tree through the plant propagation technique air layering.  While growing a flower producing tree from seed or hardwood cutting takes years and has a low rate of success, air layering makes an exact copy of an existing tree that will flower this season.  In this hands on workshop you will learn and practice on the Garden's Camellia collection as you propagate your own 18" Camellia to take home at a later date. This class will take place in the Garden, but will meet in the Atrium of the Robins Visitors Center.  Please dress for the weather and working in the Garden.
